Lentivirus GFP Control (CMV Promoter)

Catalog Number:

G97V36

Description:

This pseudotyped virus uses lentiviral vector to carry the full-length of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus envelope G (VSV-G), which targets a broad cell range. Based on the human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1), lentivirus vector has been shown to deliver genes to neurons, lymphocytes and macrophages, cell types that previous retrovirus vectors could not be used. Lentiviral vector has also proven to be effective in transducing brain, liver, muscle, and retina in vivo without toxicity or immune responses. This GFP lentivirus control is a VSV-G-pseudotyped pantropic virus capable of infecting both dividing and non-dividing cells. Infection of cells with this pseudotyped virus carrying GFP (under control of a CMV promoter) results in GFP fluorescence (see figure) with at least 2 x 104 TU/ml (infectious titer, measured on Vero cells at 72 hours post infection). This product has no selection marker. Lentivirus service is available for higher titer per request (contact us).
