Lentivirus GFP-Luciferase Dual Reporter (Puromycin selection)
Catalog Number:
Q5T78
Description:
This pseudotyped virus uses lentiviral vector to carry the full-length of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus envelope G (VSV-G), which targets a broad cell range. Based on the human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1), lentivirus vector has been shown to deliver genes to neurons, lymphocytes and macrophages, cell types that previous retrovirus vectors could not be used. Lentiviral vector has also proven to be effective in transducing brain, liver, muscle, and retina in vivo without toxicity or immune responses. This pre-made lentivirus co-expresses firefly luciferase under the control of EF1a promoter and copGFP under the control of the CMV promoter with puromycin as a selection marker.
Quality Control:
Infection of cells with this pseudotyped virus results in luciferase RLU reading > 1 x 10E6 with 1 x 10E5 higher than uninfected control (UC), see figure of our results starting dilution of 2-fold. Infection of cells with this pseudotyped virus results in GFP fluorescence of > 1 x 10E6 TU/ml (infectious titer). The level of p24 determined by Quick Lentivirus Quantitation Kit (Cat. No. Q89H22) is > 100 ng/ml. Lentivirus service is available for higher titer per request (contact us).
Applications:
- Control for transduction
- Generate stable cell lines
- Others
Biosafety Level:
Handle it in biosafety cabinet in BSL-2. Contacted tips & tubes should be decontaminated by 10% disinfecting bleach
Storage and shipping condition:
Shipping with dry ice. Require -80°C storage. Multiple freeze/Thaw cycles will reduce its sensitivity. Recommend only 1 cycle. Aliquot after the first thaw
Size:
1 ml in DMEM, 10% FBS, Pen-Strep
Note: Pseudoviruses are intended for Research Use Only
