Orthohantavirus-ANDV

Orthohantavirus is a genus of viruses naturally found primarily in rodents and has 37 species, including Andes virus (ANDV), Artybash virus, Hantaan virus (HTNV), Puumala virus (PUUV). ANDV is the only known hantavirus capable of spreading directly from person to person. Entry of a hantavirus into a host cell is negotiated by two membrane-anchored glycoproteins, Gn and Gc, which are post-translationally cleaved from the glycoprotein precursor (GPC) and form a lattice decorating the lipid bilayer envelope of the mature virion.
