Lentivirus Luciferase Control (CMV Promoter)
Catalog Number:
Q97Q32
Description:
This pseudotyped virus uses lentiviral vector to carry the full-length of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus envelope G (VSV-G), which targets a broad cell range. Based on the human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1), lentivirus vector has been shown to deliver genes to neurons, lymphocytes and macrophages, cell types that previous retrovirus vectors could not be used. Lentiviral vector has also proven to be effective in transducing brain, liver, muscle, and retina in vivo without toxicity or immune responses. This luciferase lentivirus control is a VSV-G-pseudotyped pantropic virus capable of infecting both dividing and non-dividing cells. Infection of cells with this pseudotyped virus carrying luciferase reporter (under control of a CMV promoter) results in different level of luciferase activity at different target cell lines (see figure). Our titration result showing that the starting 2-fold diluted pseudovirus generates signal ~ 10,000-fold higher than uninfected control (BHK-21 cell line, luciferase read 3 days post infection with 8 µg/mL Polybrene). This product has no selection marker. Lentivirus service is available for higher titer per request (contact us).
