Description:
This kit is used to measure firefly promoter regulated luciferase expression. This kit is designed for simple and efficient quantitation of firefly luciferase reporter enzyme activity from cultured cells with high sensitivity and linearity (see figure). Compared with other vendors’ product having all substrate in one bottle resulting in limited shelf life after first use, our product provides the convenient aliquoted 5ml Assay Buffer (2x) and 5ml Substrate for excellent shelf life with consistent signal over time. Each time, just simply mix both for fresh use (total 10ml for 100 assays with 100 μL per assay). Besides, a positive recombinant luciferase is included to make sure the whole system is working as expected.
Note: Cell lysis buffer is not included but available separately (Cat. No. U45Y61). This is a flash-type luminescence assay that requires signal to be measured immediately after adding working solution to samples. It requires a single tube luminometer or luminescence microplate reader with reagent injectors.
