Asfarvirus

African swine fever virus (ASFV) is the only member of the Asfarvirus (Asfarviridae) and the only known DNA arbovirus.  ASFV is a giant and complex DNA virus that causes a highly contagious and often lethal swine disease. The ASFV virion is a complex multi-enveloped and multi icosahedral particle containing at least 68 different structural viral polypeptides and 21 cellular proteins and possess a much complex structure.
