Pseudovirus, alternative of authentic virus, for use under BSL2 containment
- Pseudovirus is widely used to screen anti-viral antibodies or drugs. It is also used to evaluate vaccine efficacy by testing neutralizing titer of immune serum.
- Pseudovirus with a reporter, such as luciferase, provides an efficient solution for high-throughput screening of your samples, compared with the traditional plaque assay.
- Based on multiple technology platforms, such as VSV and lentivirus, we manufacture pseudovirus for Coronavirus, Filovirus or Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus with live virus requiring BSL3 or BSL4 containment. Pseudovirus is safe to be handled under BSL2 containment. Check statement that can be found from Download tab.
- Due to viral nature, VSV based pseudovirus is usually more potent than lentivirus based one. VSV pseudovirus is more suitable for high-throughput screening. Therefore, VSV pseudovirus is widely used in publication.
