ASGR (asialoglycoprotein receptor, also known as ASGPR) is a calcium-dependent C-type lectin that is highly expressed in mammalian hepatocytes, and it has been explored for targeted delivery of drugs to the liver. ASGR is thought to exist as a hetero-oligomer of ASGR1 and ASGR2 polypeptides.

Glypican-3 (GPC3) is a membrane-bound protein highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) but absent in normal adult liver tissue, making it a key biomarker and therapeutic target.
