Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) Trimeric Glycoprotein B (gB) protein
Catalog Number:
K82M85
Description:
Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is a highly complex virus harboring more than 20 different glycoproteins in its envelope. The glycoprotein B is the major envelope protein inducing neutralizing antibody response. A recombinant HCMV glycoprotein B (gB) (GenBank: ACZ79977.1) consists of ectodomain (Ala 21-Gln 690) and was produced by insect cells, followed by purification. This product contains N-terminal Myc tag and C-terminal trimerization motif, human Fc tag followed by a 6 hexa-histidine tag. Amino acid sequence is available upon request. This product has been run on SDS-PAGE with reduced condition, where the target protein with a calculated MW of ~82 kDa (including tags) was shown. We evaluated its binding to a HCMV gB-specific antibody (clone RV22, Cat. No. D53Y20) and His tag-specific antibody (Cat.No. J96C86) as well as Myc tag-specific antibody (Cat.No. M52T82) in ELISAs, see results.
