AAV-CMV-Luciferase
Catalog Number:
K55V14
Description:
Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a single stranded DNA virus and belongs to Parvoviridae family. AAV is packaged in a non-enveloped icosahedral capsid consisting of VP1, VP2 and VP3 proteins. AAV with features of non-pathogenic and no integrating into the host genome can be used to express genes of interest into cells or organism. Tissue specificity is determined by the capsid serotype and pseudotyping of AAV vectors (or called recombinant AAVs, rAAVs) to alter their tropism range is important to guide AAV to deliver gene of interest to the target organism. AAV related products have been extensively evaluated in human with multiple approved by the FDA, therefore, they are safe.
This panel of products uses CMV promoter and contains various serotype of AAV capsid (see catalog) to deliver fire luciferase gene. The titer was measured using qPCR (The titer may vary from lot) and verified using Firefly Luciferase Reporter Assay System (Cat. No. S78P56), see figure for AAV2-CMV-Luciferase.
