EpiCD™ CHO Feed
Catalog Number:
M29V67
Description:
EpiCD™ CHO Feed A and B have been formulated as chemically-defined (CD), free of serum, proteins or growth factors, animal-origin components, and hydrolysates sterile, ready-to-use cell culture feed for suspension culture of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell lines in fed-batch bioprocessing workflows, particularly in combination with our EpiCD™ CHO medium (Cat. No. K62V37) or Express medium (Cat. No. M13U59) to increase cell viability, extend cell survival time and specific productivity of protein or antibody, improve protein quality and metabolite profile.
Applications:
This medium supports multiple applications including:
- Post-transfection enhancement of cell growth and protein yield
- Enhancement of stably transfected cell growth and recombinant protein yield.
Feed Guideline:
EpiCD™ CHO Feed A and B containing 60g/L glucose are suggested to use when viable cells > 3 x 106 cells/ml. When glucose concentration in cell culture is lower than 3.5g/L, Feed should be added for final concentration of 6g/L. The following is an example estimating Day 3 post transfection showing viable cells > 3 x 106 cells/ml.
%Feed volume = % of initial culture volume. The ratio of Feed A: B should be 10: 1.
| Product Name | D3 | D5 | D7 | D9 | D11 |
| EpiCD™ CHO Feed A | 2% | 4% | 6% | 6% | 4% |
| EpiCD™ CHO Feed B | 0.2% | 0.4% | 0.6% | 0.6% | 0.4% |
The use of EpiCD™ CHO Feed A and B for stable transfected cell can be similar as above example based on cell density. The optimization of feed schedule and volume is highly encouraged to achieve the user’s goal per user.
Package Including:
M29V67-A for 500 ml of Feed A.
M29V67-B for 50 ml of Feed B.
