Description:
The One-Minute Competent Cells (K12) are engineered for reduced occurrence of nonspecific recombination in cloned DNA (recA1) and added security to valuable clones and libraries (tonA). Just mix DNA with this competent cell for 1 minute and spread on plate. No heat shock, no shaking needed. This product can be used for cloning, sub-cloning, synthesized DNA or PCR fragment assembly, library construction, blue-white color screening of recombinant clones etc.
We observed that the transformation of some PCR fragment assembly using our One-Minute DH5 Alpha competent cell (Cat. No. L2A1) yields much more clones with nonspecific recombination than the transformation of the same assembly using this competent cell. By reducing nonspecific recombination, this competent cell significantly reduces the effort on clone selection, sequencing and other following verification.
